Choosing to live abroad is a big decision and one that can't be taken lightly. But in today's global world, it is easier than ever and in some cases can solve some of life's most difficult problems such as being able to make ends meet, find love, live in a comfortable climate and much more.

Vietnam is an ideal choice for many expats because the cost of living is extremely low, the climate is warm and the people are very friendly towards foreigners. The food is also excellent and generally healthy.

The goal of this website is to provide a community for expats living in Vietnam to share information, find each other, and generally make the experience of living in Vietnam a pleasurable and easy one. It's also for those of you considering making a move here but not sure how to go about it, what it's like to live here or are just curious. Hopefully the information on the site will help you make an informed decision.

After many years of living in Vietnam as an expat, I can't imagine being anywhere else. And while there are some unique challenges for us westerners living perhaps for the first time in an Asian culture, hopefully this site will help to alleviate some of the anxiety you may have navigating your first few months in the country.

So welcome and enjoy the site. Please feel free to contribute to the forums and ask any questions that you may have. If you're curious about something, chances are others are as well!
